Internship at Robotics Research Centre, IIIT Hyderabad (Summer 2024)

In Summer 2024, I interned at the Robotics Research Center (RRC), IIIT Hyderabad, focusing on robot design and control. I worked with various hardware components such as light sensors, ultrasonic sensors, RFID modules, and acceleration sensors, gaining practical experience in robotics, electronics, and sensor integration.

 

A key project was developing a line follower robot using Arduino and Python to demonstrate practical applications of robotics and control theory such as navigating environments like warehouses or assembly lines where automated transport is needed. I implemented algorithms for line detection and motor control, utilizing a Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) system to enhance the robot’s speed and accuracy by adjusting its path in real time.
